Dan Callahan is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major and lifelong student of military history, biblical antiquity, and speculative fiction. His 25 years of service shaped both his leadership philosophy and his interest in how individuals navigate systems larger than themselves, a theme central to his debut novel, The Human Number.
With a degree in Middle East Studies, Callahan’s academic focus includes ancient cultures, prophetic literature, and the geopolitical forces that continue to shape the modern world. His writing blends these influences with grounded futurism, exploring questions of identity, faith, and human resilience in the face of technological and societal transformation.
Today, he works as a Human Resources professional, where he focuses on leadership development, organizational culture, and workforce strategy. These real-world experiences inform the structure, realism, and character dynamics within his fiction.
He lives in North Florida with his family, where he continues to write and develop future works under Old Republic Publishing.
Dan Callahan is the author of The Human Number and is not affiliated with other authors of the same name.
